We Are Ready To Serve You
Complete testing for high and low voltage electrical equipment to keep your business running at peak efficiency.
– The right team for your job
Veteran Electrical Power Systems (VEPS) follows stringent NETA ATS/MTS (Acceptance testing Specification/Maintenance Testing Specification) standards with over 30 years of experience.
VEPS extensive testing program will ensure that potential problems are dealt with before further damage can be done. Our testing program guards against malfunctioning equipment, guarantees that equipment is up to manufacturer’s recommendations, and makes certain that equipment and systems are installed in accordance with design specifications. VEPS is able to perform effective testing of equipment because we follow the recommendations contained in the manufacturer’s published data for each piece of equipment that we test. The majority of the guidelines for an effective testing procedure can be found from the manufacturer’s published data.
In order to make testing efficient for your facility, our wide spectrum of knowledge concerning proper testing procedures enables us to make necessary adjustments concerning a particular system and how it should be tested. These testing procedures are meant specifically for most industrial and larger commercial systems.
Benefits of Testing
- Ensures that mechanical operation of equipment is aligned with manufacturer’s standard
- Prevents injury hazards to personnel working near/around energized equipment
- Detect possible areas where arc faults can occur and identify appropriate approach boundaries
A Full Range Of Electrical Testing Services
VEPS offers a wide scope of tests for industrial and commercial systems that range from low voltage circuit breaker testing to 230kV yard overhauls and everywhere in between. Our NICET, OSHA, and Arc Flash certified engineers and technicians will work with you to handle anything from emergency shutdowns to routine, quality assurance testing. Our full spectrum electrical testing services will keep your electrical equipment up and running efficiently and reliably, year after year.
Ground Fault Certification
The most important aspect in maintaining and ensuring your facility’s electrical system is operating in a safe operational state is by ensuring your Ground Fault Protection is functional. Mandated by the National Electrical Code (NEC), Art. 230.95(C) states, “The ground-fault protection system shall be performance tested when first installed on-site. The test shall be conducted in accordance with instructions that shall be provided with the equipment. A written record of this test shall be made and shall be available to the authority having jurisdiction.”
To achieve this result, Primary injection (simulating a fault) Testing is the most accurate way to do so.

Infrared Thermography / Infrared Surveying
Veteran Electrical’s thermography services can help avoid unexpected breakdowns that can halt production, knock out power, and even cause fires. Thermography, also known as Infrared testing, uses an infrared camera to detect the amount of energy emitted from an object via infrared wavelengths. The camera converts the infrared information into an image with temperature readings.
There’s no downside to thermography testing, only benefits.Thermography testing does not require a shut down and can be done under normal working conditions with no impact to the customer. By using infrared technology to help identify potential problems with electrical and mechanical equipment, a facility can take equipment off-line for repair before failure occurs, production is halted, or a fire impacts your business.
